Ohio Attorney General switching to online payment system
The Ohio Attorney General is switching to a online payment system. Message from the Ohio AG's office:
In our continuing effort to promote accountability and transparency within the charitable sector, the Ohio Attorney General’s office will soon be switching to an online payment only system. Effective September 17, 2020, we will no longer accept paper checks as payment for charitable registration fees and late fees. All payments must be made by credit card or e-check on our website through our secure payment portal.
Eliminating payments through mailed checks will enable our office to process payments more efficiently, reduce unnecessary paper waste, and free our staff to spend more time directly assisting our constituents.
The online payment system will continue to operate as it has in the past. Whenever you have fees to pay, please access our website at Charitable.OhioAGO.gov/Charity-Registration, click the link to Register a Charity, and log in to your account. If any fees are outstanding, a link to pay them will appear on your To Do List. Simply click this link and follow the system prompts to submit payment by credit card or e-check.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation with charitable registration requirements in the state of Ohio. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost CharitableRegistration@OhioAttorneyGeneral.gov | 800-282-0515
