Wounded Warrior Fellowship Position Opening in Lancaster Office for US Rep. Steve Stivers
U.S. Congressman Steve Stivers is actively seeking a veteran to fill a Veterans Caseworker position in his Lancaster District Office. As a Brigadier General, serving fellow veterans is one of his utmost priorities as a Member of Congress. He relies heavily on the caseworkers on his team to be creative problem solvers, compassionate and dedicated, all values that he knows are instilled in those who wear the military uniform.
This position will provide the Wounded Warrior Fellow with unique experience and exposure to ultimately broaden their career opportunities. The primary duties for this Veterans/Military Caseworker will be to work with federal agencies, like the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense, to facilitate and coordinate responses with constituents who are veterans, as well as act as the liaison between our office and various veterans’ organizations in the district. All candidates must meet the following requirements in order to apply for the Wounded Warrior Fellowship:
honorably discharged;
released from active duty within the last five years;
pay grades at or below E-5 or O-3;
20 percent or greater connected disability rating (Purple Heart recipients are exempt from the service connected disability rating requirement);
must not be in receipt of a 20-year or Temporary Early Retirement (TERA) retirement.
