Special Olympics

This event is part of a larger statewide program that provides year-round sports training and competition opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities—empowering thousands of athletes to build confidence, develop skills, and experience the joy of competition.

AMVETS’ involvement reflects a continued commitment to service—supporting not only the athletes, but also the families, coaches, and communities that make these events possible. Through volunteer efforts and community engagement, AMVETS helps create an environment where every participant is encouraged, supported, and celebrated.

As we prepare for this year’s event on May 30–31, additional details—including the final bowling tournament location in Columbus—will be shared soon. At this time, we are gathering interest from volunteers to help ensure we have the support needed to make the event a success.

We are honored to play a role in an event that brings people together, promotes inclusion, and makes a lasting impact year after year.
