ODVS to host business accelerator March 5

Ohio veterans, military members and military spouses looking to advance their career, broaden their network and support entrepreneurial veterans are invited to take part in the Veterans Career Accelerator event on Monday, March 5.

The Veterans Career Accelerator is a great opportunity to expand your network, find a mentor/mentee and connect with other veterans in an informal, career-minded setting.

Representatives from area employers will participate in the speed networking portion of the evening. Recruitment staff from Amazon Web Services and Battelle will be available starting at 6:30 pm.

Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards to share while speed networking. You will also receive a networking tips sheet where you can write notes or contact information. Employer and veteran organization representatives are encouraged to distribute business cards as well, but please refrain from bringing other promotional materials.

The Point has ample parking available in their surface lot north of the building. Please enter using the side entrance off of the parking lot.

5:30-6:30 p.m. - Facilitated speed networking geared towards: veterans seeking employment or career advancement, veterans interested in mentoring, veterans seeking a mentor, veterans with entrepreneurial interests, members of the military preparing to transition to civilian status, military spouses. 6:30-7:30 p.m - Informal reception featuring high-tech equipment demonstrations and representatives from veteran-focused organizations. Watch finalists from the business pitch competition present their idea before a panel of small business and startup experts
