My name is Andrew (Andy) McElrath, United States Marine Corp veteran and life member of AMVETS Post 112 located in Newton Falls, Ohio. I am honored to represent the American Veterans Department of Ohio as your newly elected Commander for 2019 – 2021 years.

 

I would like to also, extend a heartfelt congratulations to all the newly elected and appointed AMVET officers, I eagerly look forward to working with each of you this year and in the future.

In addition, I would also like to extend my congratulations to all of the newly elected State Supporting Organization Leaders; President Kay Gibbons – Ladies Auxiliary, Commander Vern Davenport –Sons of AMVETS, President CJ Turner – Junior AMVETS, Saddest John Smith – Sad Sacks and President John (JD) Dotson – AMVETS Riders. I look forward to continuing our work together as one Ohio AMVETS family, promoting our entire organization to Veterans, their families and the communities throughout Ohio.

My project for this year is The Callen Foundation. They are a 501(c)(3) organization based in Westerville, Ohio and their mission is to provide resources to Ohio’s military families in times of crisis.

I am eager to hit the ground running, and with your support we will continue to demonstrate why The AMVETS Department of Ohio leads the way.
