Open House to celebrate new HQ building and the Department's 75th Anniversary
A free public open house and official ribbon cutting is planned to celebrate AMVETS Department of Ohio's new headquarters building and the organization's 75th Anniversary.

The event will start promptly at 1800.
​
The tentative schedule will be:
​
Posting of the Colors (AMVETS Post 89 Color Guard)
Opening Prayer (Gary Sallade)
Remarks from Commander Andrew McElrath
Official Ribbon Cutting

Other dignitaries expected to attend are AMVETS National Commander Jan Brown, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Sharon Kennedy, Deborah Ashenhurst, director, Ohio Department of Veterans Services and several state legislators who have supported AMVETS and veterans over the years.

Open House with historical displays and light refreshments until 2100.
​
There will be no parking at HQ for the event. Parking will be available at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and free shuttles will take to to and from the event.
