Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation to focus on mental health for underserved populations

The Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation (OSPF) is hosting several pop-up mental health workshops with various partners to address mental health issues among Ohio's African-American community. Ohio Power of Postvention special series of workshops
 
April 2, 2021-June 25, 2021


 
The OSPF, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the American Association of Suicidology, is hosting the Power of Postvention Workshop Series, with workshops occurring every other Friday beginning on April 2 at 1 pm and continuing through June 25. Please note that this series will not be recorded.
 

 
The Power of Postvention Workshop Series consists of seven components and will include practical information on the aftermath of suicide so that participants can return to their community with the skills and tools needed to improve the lives of those grieving a suicide. Leading individuals and organizations in the postvention field will present on direct clinical work with loss survivors as well as community and system interventions. Registration is required for attendance and is $10 per person, per series. You can register for the entire series for $50.
