Department Commander
Bill
Noltner
William A. Noltner Jr. was born in Cleveland, Ohio June 5, 1941
and grew up in Vermilion, Ohio. He graduated from Vermilion High School, then enlisted in the
US Army Security Agency in September of 1961, and was honorably discharged in November of 1964
after serving 21 months in Germany.
Upon discharge, Bill went to Ohio State University for one year of college then entered a
5-year apprenticeship in die making for General Motors. He retired after 32 years of service
as die maker from General Motors, CPC-Parma, Ohio.

AMVETS APPLAUDS HOUSE PASSAGE OF 2011 VA BUDGET
LANHAM, Md., July 29, 2010—Last night the House of Representatives passed the fiscal year 2011 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Bill by a vote of 411-6, providing VA for the coming year and advance appropriations for VA health care in 2012.
AMVETS leaders applauded the swift passage of the budget and called on the Senate to pass their version of the appropriations bill, ensuring timely delivery of the VA budget. (MORE...)
